aAh! magazine The legacy issue

aAh! Magazine is a student-led publication created at Manchester Metropolitan University. For the Legacy issue, we celebrated 200 years of the institution.

As this was my first collaboration with aAh! Magazine, I was honoured to create an illustration for an article about the inspiring climate activist Emma Greenwood. Additionally, I submitted an illustration for consideration as the cover of the issue.

Illustration for “Emma Greenwood: a Catalyst for Change”

I created the accompanying illustrations for an article featuring an interview with Emma Greenwood, a young climate activist elected as Bury’s youth parliament member at just 16.

The brief tasked me with illustrating around a photo of Emma at a protest, aiming to capture the energy and spirit of the day due to limited photography from the event. This project was a fantastic opportunity to experiment with character design and bustling crowd scenes.
